TAYU: Learn Money by Playing It
TAYU is a free K-12 financial-literacy game with grade-specific paths for elementary, middle, and high school students.
Learning modules
The Market and Jars teaches opportunity cost and money planning. The Lemonade Stand teaches supply, demand, revenue, costs, and profit. Budget Town teaches needs, wants, emergencies, and budgeting. The Bank of TAYU teaches accounts, debit, credit, borrowing, and scams. Money Garden and Bond Street teach research, diversification, risk, stocks, and bonds. The TAYU Tax Office teaches wages, W-2 forms, withholding, deductions, credits, refunds, and tax due.
For educators
Each module includes an objective, grade band, estimated time, FCPS Economics and Personal Finance unit, and Virginia EPF Standards of Learning alignment. TAYU is built to support teacher-led discussion, replay, and evidence-based financial decisions.
